Welcome to Mrs. Karl's Class!

Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Karl and I have lived in Greensboro, NC for 3 years now. I have bounced around inside and outside of the United States as I was growing up and have lived in New York, Ohio, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and Switzerland. I came back to North Carolina after I graduated from high school because I loved it so much when I was a kid. I attended UNC-Charlotte, which is where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, K-6. ​

I got married in December 2019. Together, my husband and I have a 7-year-old cat named Stella, a 5-year-old Golden Retriever named Bailey, and a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd named Morgan! I love to share photos and stories about them. ​

I am excited about beginning my 6th year of teaching and my 4th year at General Greene Elementary School as a 5th Grade Science and Social Studies teacher. This year we will be covering 6 units in science and 7 units in social studies. You can see the list of units and the order they are taught below.
