Hey Cone Cougars! My name is Sarah Fricke and I proudly serve as the School Social Worker at Ceaser Cone Elementary. I serve our students by providing social and emotional learning and counseling through individual and group sessions. I help Cone parents and families by connecting them to resources to meet basic needs, financial needs, and mental health needs.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I am also a two time AmeriCorps alum. I served with City Year Orlando tutoring and mentoring 9th grade high school students. I served with Reading Partners Charlotte where I operated a reading center with community volunteers in a Charlotte Mecklenburg Elementary School. I later received my Masters of Social Work through the Joint program with the Univeristy of North Carolina at Greensboro and the North Carolina A&T University. During my masters I had the pleasure to intern for a year with the Center for New North Carolinians providing clinical social work to refugees and immigrants and then one year as a school social work intern with Guilford County Schools at Sedgefield Elementary
This is my first year with Cone Elementary and I am ready to get to work! Please feel free to contact me if you are in need of anything or have any questions.
