Hello Northern Families,
This is Dr. Richmond with your updates for the week. Please know that we miss you so much…each and every student that would be walking through our building. As we all learned Friday, our 1st-5th graders will continue remotely this week with our Kindergarten students continuing to come from 8:30-12:00 daily.
This week happiest of birthday wishes to Mrs. Worst and Mrs. Kenan!
We do have some important things happening this week:
-On Wednesday, we will issue 1st quarter report cards. You are invited to drive-thru the bus loop from 11-100 to pick up report cards. Also, 2nd grade will have a materials pick up during this time, plus you may get lunch for kids from the NES cafeteria from 11-12. Please enter the bus loop, look for the cones, and proceed as the office staff directs you. Please know that we will only be giving out report cards to families of children and will not allow neighbors to pick up others report cards. Those not picked up, will be mailed that afternoon.
-We also want to thank our amazing PTA for their continued work even while we teach remotely! They will be providing some much need nourishment to our teachers tomorrow. Also, this week we would be gearing up for our largest event of the year… our Fall Festival. There are still activities happening for kids. Please check your email for a schedule of events as well as Facebook. The culminating event will happen this Friday with our Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat from 6:00-8:00. We will call you mid-week with specific details.
You, our families, have been amazing during the struggle of this pandemic and I as principal thank you. If there are things that you need: help finding community resources for food, counseling, specific situations with your children, just know we are one phone call away.
Thank you for your support of Northern ES where we imagine extraordinary!
