Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Tammy Patterson
I am thrilled to serve the Ferndale Middle School Community as the International Baccalaureate Coordinator (IB). I began my educational career twenty years ago in Guilford County Schools at Sedalia Elementary, and have had the opportunity to serve in many roles, including a Classroom Teacher, Induction and Support Coach, Program Specialist, Curriculum Facilitator, and High School Assistant Principal. I am committed to student success inside the classroom and in life. I am a proud graduate of Elizabeth City State University, an HBCU, where I received my Bachelor’s in English. There afterward, earned my MS Degree from the University of New Haven. In 2007, I received an Administrative Licensure from High Point University. I am especially proud to hold my National Board Certification, 2002-2012 and 2012-2022. Supporting students is my life’s work, and I believe that student success begins with establishing meaningful relationships, establishing strong connections, and working collaboratively with others.
