William Watson

Hello! My name is Mr. Watson, and I am Florence Elementary new Music Teacher! I graduated in 2020 from UNCG's School of Music with a Bachelor's in Music Education, and am super excited to use those skills I learned to teach the students of Florence Elementary. I grew up in Asheboro and Burlington North Carolina before moving to Greensboro to attend UNCG. My primary musical instrument is the trombone, which I have played for 11 years, but in my training at UNCG I learned to play all of the standard instruments of the symphony orchestra. My favorite piece of classical music right now is Claude Boling's Toot Suite, and my favorite piece of non-classical music right now is Paul Simon's album Graceland.

When I'm not teaching at Florence, I enjoy practicing my instruments, arranging music, and especially enjoy cooking.

I'm super excited for my first year of Teaching at Florence, and can't wait to get to know all of the students this upcoming year!
