Dear Parents and Community,

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction to you as your new principal at Reedy Fork Elementary School! I am truly honored to become a part of a community, which has already given me such a warm welcome. In just a few interactions I've had with staff, students, and families so far, it's become abundantly clear that this is a unique and special place. I can tell that all stakeholders are passionate and committed to securing the best outcomes for our young people.

This summer, I have spent much of my time getting to know the building, the school's community, and familiarizing myself with the Ready Fork test data and School Improvement Goals. In doing so, I’ve learned that the teachers and staff are committed to developing the whole child. I feel certain that we can work together to help our students reach high levels of academic achievement.

Professionally, I possess over 24 years of experience in the field of education. I have taught elementary grades Pre-K through 5^th grade, I have served as a Title I Coordinator, a Right Start Trainer, Reading Specialist and I have worked as a mentor to elementary teachers. Before my assignment at Reedy Fork, I was the assistant principal at Southwest Elementary School.

As you know, COVID19 has brought many challenges to schools across America. Even during this unique time, I am excited about the opportunity to “Reimagine Excellence” for our students. Now more than ever, we have the opportunity to provide a vast platform of educational opportunities and to ensure a pulse on student achievement. As parents of two amazing children (Joslyn and Aaron), my husband (Ty) and I understand the challenges ahead. Please know that I am here to assist you in any way I can. The staff and I will work hard to ensure that your children continue to learn and grow.
