Greetings Oak Ridge School Community,

I am Ms. Penny Loschin, the proud principal of Oak Ridge Elementary. I am so excited to be in my fourth year as the principal of ORE. I have been in education for 33 years, as a Special Education Teacher, Elementary Teach and Assistant Principal. All of this has been with the Guilford County School System.

I am from this area and have lived here my entire life. I am also a graduate of Guilford County Schools. “Go Hornets” (Western High School.)  I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Special Education, continued at Greensboro College earning an Elementary Teacher Degree, then finally going back to ASU to earn my Master’s in School Administration.

 I have one son who graduated from NC State with an Environmental degree and is currently working on his doctorate in the same field at NC State.  My husband and I have been married for over 30 years and we live nearby in the Stokesdale Community.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and spending time with my family. I am excited about this school year and what all it will bring.

I welcome you to Oak Ridge Elementary where our motto is “Dream, Believe and Achieve.” We instill this every day with out students and in collaboration with parents, guardians, etc. we know this will happen.
