Welcome to Kernodle Middle School Chorus
My name is Mr. Shoaf and I am your Director of Choirs here at Kernodle Middle School. I am very excited about starting this year with you all!

T-Shirt Orders: Students are required to order a chorus t-shirt for our concerts.
2022-2023 T-Shirt Order Link: Spring 2023 orders will start at the semester change.

North Carolina State Essential Standards will be used to assess student growth in chorus. The 2014 National Standards for Music Ensemble will also be used in addition to assessing student growth. Throughout this course, students will Create, Perform, Respond, and Connect to music in the chorus setting. Rubrics for student assessment will be included with each assignment on canvas. If you have any questions, please reach out to me via email and give me 24 hours for a response during school hours.

Winter Concert: Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 @ 6:00 PM (5:30 Student Call Time)
Spring Concert: Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 @ 6:00 PM (5:30 Student Call Time)
Other Events:
All County Chorus: 2/8 & 2/9/2023 (Wednesday during day and Thursday during day. Concert @ 6 on Thursday at Page HS)
ACDA Middle Fest: Friday, Feb 10th, and Saturday, Feb 11th, 2023 (Friday evening and Saturday during the day)
All State Chorus: Friday & Saturday, April 14 & 15, 2023 (Due to this being over GCS Spring Break, KMS Chorus will not be attending this year)
Singing the National Anthem for sports games:
