• Dear Families,

My name is Ms. Apple and I am so excited to introduce myself as your child’s 2nd grade teacher!

The start of the 2020-2021 school year is unlike any other. We are all feeling a mix of emotions right now as we try to prepare and adjust to so many changes. However, I want you all to know I understand that learning virtually looks a little different for every family. My job is to do my very best to be flexible and supportive during this challenging time.

This year, I have the privilege of getting to know your sons and daughters as we work together to strengthen their skills in reading, math, science, and social studies. I am equally looking forward to getting to know all of you, families! Staying connected and communicating with the people who know their child’s needs best is such a vital part of having a successful year— especially during virtual learning.

To share a little bit about me, I am a Greensboro local and earned my degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. My career in teaching has included a great deal of time spent at Lindley.

After completing long term substitute positions at Lindley in 2017 and 2019, I was honored to be offered a permanent position teaching 2nd grade. My passion for teaching and creating a positive learning environment for all students is what makes this job so rewarding. I cannot wait to embark on this journey to success with you and your child.

Thank you for your support, families!

                             Ms. Apple
