¡Bienvenidos!/Welcome!

Welcome to 3rd Grade! My name is Mr. Jaraba, and I am  excited about this school year. I certainly can't wait to get to know each and every one of my student professors! Yes in my classroom, you will each hold the title of a professor, which I will explain more throughout the year. 

For now, I am going to tell you a bit about myself. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts from La Salle University and have recently received my Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. I moved to Greensboro with my partner to explore the  different environments that our country holds. This is my first year teaching at Sedgefield Elementary. 

I live with my partner and will potentially be getting a cat soon. My favorite color is black (which is not really a color but a mixture of all colors).  I love eating Middle Eastern/Asian food. My favorite sports team are the Philadelphia Eagles (E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!). Autumn (fall) is my favorite season, which also has my favorite holiday, Halloween.  I love to travel around the world, cook, and practice kickboxing. My favorite book is Becoming by Michelle Obama. Favorite singer is Shakira.

My family is from Colombia. I am first generation, Colombian American.  I was raised by my mother and grandparents. I have a younger brother named, Brian. I love animals.
