Hello! My name is Kasheena Burris and this year I will be teaching Biology, Earth and Environmental Science, and Human Anatomy and Physiology this year. Now for a little bit about myself. I am originally from Los Angeles, CA. I moved to North Carolina to attend THE North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (AGGIE PRIDE) in which I earned my Bachelors of Science in Laboratory Animal Science and my Masters of Science in Biology. I later completed my teaching credential program at Greensboro College. I have one daughter who is six years old. I love basketball (specifically THE Los Angeles Lakers), sneakers, spending time time with my family, and traveling.
Science is a very hands-on subject. The science scholars in my class are expected to take a high level of responsibility for his or her own learning. Individual effort is very important in the learning process. Success is dependent on the effort put into completing not only class assignments, but also independent work in the form of projects, homework, and preparation for tests. The goal this school year is to complete more interactive labs and projects. I am confident that we will have another successful school year!
