About Me

Hi everyone! I'm originally from western North Carolina and have taught ESL in Greensboro since 2014. I obtained my M.A. in TESOL from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2013. I really enjoy working with my outstanding colleagues to help students from diverse cultural backgrounds reach their academic and personal goals. I have been married since 2017 to my wife Hannah, who was born and raised in northern Thailand. I have had opportunities in the past to travel abroad to fascinating places such as Thailand, Romania, Guatemala, Haiti, Argentina, and South Asia. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, serving others through the local church, and following sports of all kinds.

Whether you are in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade classes, I really look forward to helping you learn and grow both in your language skills and as a person. Being in middle school can be hard, and being an English language learner can be hard too. However, I know you can do it, and I look forward to helping you and your family as much as I can!
