The County has turned anonymous attendees off in Teams Meetings, in other words, you cannot enter a meeting without GCS credentials. If a student is having trouble entering your Team meeting for class, ask them if they are logging into teams with their GCS credentials. Additionally, when you are scheduling a meeting, there is an option called “Live Event”. This option gives you more control but will not show student cameras. Consider this if you are wanting to just present without the interference of student cameras. To get to “Live Events” open teams (either the app or the web app), click on “calendar” (tab option in the menu on the left-hand side), and then click on the down arrow next to the “New Meeting” on the top right corner. When you click on the arrow you will see the “Live Event” option (See picture). Here is also a link to some Teams resources https://bit.ly/GuilfordTeam. Please let me know if you have any questions. If I can’t answer it, we can figure it out together!

  • Notes from Mrs. Ridley....

Some recorded lessons were updated over the weekend.  Teachers will be able to view any changes in Canvas and can import the recorded content via the Canvas pages for each content area.

The clip art feature in Nearpod is visible when using “Draw It” and “Collaborate Board”.  The clip art feature takes students to a Google Safe image search.  There are no recorded lessons in Nearpod that ask students to select clip art or to do an image search.  However, teachers need to be aware that this clip art search feature exists.  We are working with Nearpod to disable the feature but wanted you to have this information.

We do not want students to use the clip art feature, it may produce images that students/families feel are inappropriate.
