Miss Sydney Zajac

Hello All! I will be the School Psychologist at Southern Guilford High School for the 2024-2025 School Year. 

A big part of my job is completing evaluations for Exceptional Children (EC) services. However, there are many other ways that I am here to help! School psychologists work to problem-solve academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health challenges. We support classroom management, core instructional practices, crisis-response and threat assessment, and student data collection and analysis. I love consulting on supplemental interventions (SPS) and intensive interventions (IPS), MTSS processes, EC processes and students in the EC program. I am able to provide resources and strategies with teachers and parents. 

I earned my B.A. in psychology at Mercyhurst University, and have a background in special education. I earned my M.A. SSP from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) and completed my internship with Guilford County Schools! I am originally from Buffalo, NY and have as much love for this job as I do for the Buffalo Bills!  This year I will be serving two schools, Nathanael Greene Elementary School & Southern Guilford High!
