Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year

I am super excited to start my fourth year as a third-grade teacher at Brightwood Elementary School. I was born and raised in West Virginia where I attended Fairmont State University for my BA in Elementary Education K-8 and West Virginia University (Let's Go Mountaineers) where I received my MA in Special Education and Marshall University where I received my certification in Autism. This is my 24th year as a teacher and I cannot imagine anything I would rather be doing.

I have two daughters Kayleigh 26 and Delanie 19 as well as two bonus sons Nolan 20 and  Charlie 18. I enjoy spending my free time reading and volunteering at Victory Junction Camp.

My husband, Jacob, is a teacher as well and teaches English and History in Davidson county. We have three dogs that we treat like kids (well mostly me but in my defense, they are my babies). Reagan is a German Shephard and Willow and River are both Golden Retrievers.

I look forward to learning and growing with each of you this year.
