Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year

I am very excited to start my third year as a third-grade teacher at Brightwood Elementary School. I was born and raised in West Virginia where I attended Fairmont State University for my BA in Elementary Education K-8 and West Virginia University (Let's Go Mountaineers) where I received my MA in Special Education and Marshall University where I received my certification in Autism. This is my 22nd year as a teacher and I cannot imagine anything I would rather be doing.

I have two daughters Kayleigh 25 and Delanie 18 as well as two bonus sons Nolan 19 and  Charlie 17. My youngest daughter started West Virginia University to study Neuroscience as she plans to be a neurologist in the future.

My husband, Jacob, is a teacher as well and teaches English and History in Davidson county. We have three dogs that we treat like kids (well mostly me but in my defense, they are my babies). Reagan is a German Shephard and Willow and River are both Golden Retrievers.
