Space in our ACES programs is subject to availability and on a first come first serve basis.  Once your application is reviewed, you will receive a follow-up call from the Site Coordinator to confirm enrollment or to let you know if there is a waitlist. 

The Jefferson Elementary ACES Program provides quality academic, enrichment and recreational activities for students currently enrolled at JES. The program is licensed with a Superior Rating from the Guilford County Health Department and is one of THE BEST programs in Guilford County.

How our program works

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE- During ACES, students are encouraged to work on homework and enjoy literacy, SEL and STEM activities. Our ACES curriculum and activities include: Growing Community Leaders: An ACES Curriculum That Serves, KidzLit® Literacy Program, AR Reading Program, TenMarks and Extra-Math, ACES Across the Nation STEAM Activities, Nature and Science Activities, Learning for Life and other Character Development activities, Academic Time, Book-It Reading Incentive Program, CATCH® Kids, Skillastics®, and Centers.

NUTRITIOUS SNACKS- ACES serves students a nutritious snack everyday. Snack menus are posted monthly. 

FUN & FITNESS ACTIVITIES- During ACES, students develop friendships, strengthen social skills and participate in hands-on fun, developmentally-appropriate indoor and outdoor games. 

HEALTH & SAFETY- ACES is operated by well-trained members licenced by the NC Division of Child Development who provide quality care and a safe environment. 

JEFFERSON EAGLES ACES FOCUS- In line with our school focus, our ACES program focuses on developing character traits. Our activities are in line with the character trait of the month. We do recognition and awards throughout the year to promote positive behaviors. 

Fees

The weekly fee for ACES is $75.00 per student per week.  A $15.00 non-refundable enrollment fee is due when the initial ACES enrollment application for the school year is submitted for each student. The enrollment fee is not required for students who have a DSS or other agency childcare voucher.  The weekly fee is due on Mondays of each week. A late fee of $15.00 will be accessed if weekly fee is not paid by close of business on Monday. 

The ACES Program will continue to accept subsidy payments from agencies such as the Department of Social Services (DSS), Guilford Child Development (GCD) and adoption services.

Schedule

ACES is offered daily from the time of dismissal until 6 p.m. ACES does not operate when school is closed ( inclement weather, winter breaks, spring break and teacher workdays). ACES will not operate ACES All Days on Teacher Workdays for the 2024-2025 school year.
