• My name is Marissa McOmber and I'm so excited to be teaching at Northwest!

I graduated from Georgia Southern University where I double majored in Political Science and International Studies and minored in Spanish. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Education from Johns Hopkins University.

I'm licensed to teach English Language Arts 6-12 and Social Studies 9-12 and have taught 7th, 9th, 10th, and 11th grades. This is my 8th year in the classroom and I'm excited to spend it with you! :)

I'll be teaching Honors American Literature (11th) and Honors British & World Literature (12th) this year.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy baking, traveling, trying new foods, taking care of my houseplants, and spending time with my cats (Karma and French Fry).

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
