• My name is Marissa McOmber and I'm so excited to be teaching at Northwest!

I graduated from Georgia Southern University where I double majored in Political Science and International Studies and minored in Spanish. I am currently pursuing a Master's of Education from Johns Hopkins University.

I'm licensed to teach English Language Arts 6-12 and Social Studies 9-12 and have taught 7th, 9th, and 10th grade. This is my 7th year in the classroom and I'm excited to spend lucky year seven with you! :)

American Literature was my favorite English class in high school and I'm so excited to be teaching it this year!

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy baking, traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with my cats (Karma, French Fry, Mia, and Tater Tot).

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
