• NO MATTER WHERE IN THIS WORLD I GO...I AM A JAMAICAN!!!

My name is Miss Demi-Rochelle Russell, who was born and grown in the little but talawah country of Jamaica.  For this academic year, I will be the fourth grade ELA teacher; I will also be excuting Social Studies and Science lessons to my students. I am looking forward to getting to know you all and guiding your child through a successful fourth grade. Just to let you know, teaching is my life's passion, and I have been instructing to students from all age groups for 6 years in my country of origin, Jamaica. This will be my very first year teaching in the United States, as well as my initial year of teaching at Parkview Elementary School.

My years of experience as a teacher have helped me form a teaching philosophy that guides how I help my students succeed in the classroom and beyond. I truly believe that their success begins with making them comfortable in the classroom, so I will be starting our school year with plenty of activities, which will enable everyone to get to know each another. In the interim of getting to know each other, I will be encouraging the students to share their questions and opinions in an unbiased and open environment.

I strive to create a space for all students to explore their own learning styles, and then of course, I will be there to help develop their interests and guide their absorption of the materials that will be provided for them during each session. I am enthused to be a part of the Parkview Panthers school family and I am anticipating a very exciting school year ahead.
