Greetings Middle College at Bennett Families,

Welcome back!  I trust you are rested and energized ready to finish your senior year strong as we help you prepare for the next level of your academic career. I am extremely excited to partner with the Middle College at Bennett students, staff, families, and community! I'm very passionate about building strong relationships, the art of teaching and learning, supporting others and look forward to meeting each of you.

My commitment to serving students and school communities has spanned over 25 years. I believe in building strong partnerships, optimizing the gifts and talents of all, and empowering others to reach their goals. Most of all, I'm committed to the growth and development of each student. Seeing students learn and grow truly fuels my soul. I believe I am called to serve students and schools and consider this work a labor of love, respect, passion, and service.

Educationally, I believe that everyone has unique gifts and talents that add to the collective group and that uniqueness makes us better, stronger, wiser and more appreciative of each other.  I believe in creating a culture of high expectations and success while supporting students as they evolve and achieve positive growth and academic gains.

As a lifelong learner, I am committed to excellence in education. Most of my teaching career was in the Guilford County School District with having taught one year in Rockingham County and one year abroad in England. I have been a school administrator for over 15 years, serving both as an assistant principal for over 5 and principal for 10 years. I received both my Bachelor’s and Master’s of School Administration from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Additionally, I achieved National Board Certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist and later completed graduate studies as an Educational Specialist with Superintendents Licensure at Appalachian State University.

    Better and Stronger Together!
