Welcome to 8^th grade Social Studies; my name is Mr. Janoscak. I was born and raised on Long Island, New York.  I obtained my bachelor’s degree in history from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire.  I have also received my Master of Business Administration from Nichols College in Massachusetts.  Educators teach Social Studies so that students have a better understanding of reality. I hope to impart my passion for learning and education to students. I promise to give all my effort to help them succeed if they also give the same effort for themselves. Most importantly, what is available to us is an opportunity for students to learn, to grow and develop within the study of history.

Learning history is more than dates, names, and wars. It is the study of people and how they interact with their environment, resources, and others. The more we learn of our past, the better we are prepared for the present. With that knowledge, people can create any future for themselves.
