Greetings Everyone:

My name is Ms. Regina Smith and I am excited to be a CTE teacher at Kearns Academy. We are a rigorous computer science school where critical and innovative thinking is nurtured.  I have taught computer science and business courses for several years in Guilford County.  I was recognized as a High Point Extraordinary Educator in 2024. I was honored to receive this recognition from my principal and the city of High Point. I was the 2022-2023 Kearn’s Teacher of the Year. And I was the Teacher of the Year during the 2019-2020 school year for my former school, Jamestown Middle School.   

I am a National Board-Certified Teacher. I have over 25 years of experience in the business industry, and I have been an entrepreneur for over the past 15 years. I graduated from the University of Greensboro in 2008 with a B.S. in Business Studies, East Carolina University in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Business Education and Marketing with a concentration in Information Technology Education, and Liberty University with a Master of Business in 2018. I also have a certificate in Cybersecurity from Forsyth Technical Community College.

I am excited to be able to share my experience and knowledge with my students. My goal is to help my students achieve their academic and career goals and to be successful in life after high school. My mission is to prepare our students for high-skilled, high-wage, in-demand careers. And I believe, with your help and support, our students can accomplish great things in life!
