Bienvenidos,
I am Tona` Spencer McLaughlin and I have the awesome opportunity to share exciting and diverse lessons with you as we journey through this academic year to learn Spanish together. I have been a teacher of Spanish since 2008. I hold a teaching diploma in Spanish and English, a Bachelor of Education Degree in Spanish, and a Master of Education Degree in Language Arts.
My pastimes include, but are not limited to, listening to music, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with family. Additionally, I have a genuine passion for teaching and seeing students excel, thus attaining their maximum potential. I am thrilled to incorporate nuggets from my experiences into the Spanish lessons, as I believe that “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” Aristotle
We will focus on the four language learning skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The lessons will be interactive, communicative, enjoyable, and diverse. You can expect videos, online games, quizzes, activities, music, projects, writing activities, reading activities, role plays, and much more.
Together we will develop all the necessary components to master the target language. Students will have an amazing chance to explore the language and have a great time while learning new concepts and jargon. This allows them to be better able to communicate effectively in a global society.
