• My name is Jodi Johnson. I learned Spanish through immersion (speaking with others) in my early 20s. I fell in love with the rhythm of the language, the new perspectives on life that it gave me, and the many cultures in Latin America. I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology and a master’s degree in Public Affairs. Since I learned Spanish by immersion, I also went to UNCG to study Spanish reading, writing, and literature with additional coursework. I have traveled to Mexico, Costa Rica, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Spain. I love traveling, home renovation projects, doing my part to make the world a happy place and spending time with my family and friends. Currently, I have one daughter at home and a fluffy dog!

    “Después de todo este tiempo,

    el Sol nunca le

    ha dicho a la Tierra

    estás en deuda

    conmigo.

Ve lo que sucede con un

    amor como ese, que

    ilumina todo el cielo”.

    - Hafiz, Poeta Persa
