• About Me

Welcome! My name is De'Andre Stevenson. I have been an educator for 11 years. Currently, I am a science teacher here at MCHP, and I teach earth environmental science, physical science, and anatomy and physiology.

    Educational Philosophy

I believe that as an educator, it is my responsibility to create a healthy learning environment in which students feel safe and secure, can comfortably be themselves, and grow academically and socially. As a science teacher, it is important that I encourage students to be curious about the world in which we live, and to become lifelong learners. Students in science need able to engage, explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate educational content to get the most out of it. It is my goal for my students to understand and appreciate the value of education, build positive character traits and habits, work effectively in diverse groups and teams, learn and apply life skills, and to be college and career ready when they graduate from school. To reach these goals, it is important that all stakeholders communicate effectively, have high expectations for students, and hold students accountable for their decisions and actions. As a teacher, I vow to do my best to properly educate all students. I am prepared to dedicate myself to the standards of the school and community for the benefit of our students.
