Hello to all and welcome to Lincoln Academy and 7th grade MATH!  

My name is Amanda Hendrix and I teach 7th grade math, accelerated math, and Math I.  This is my first year here at Lincoln, but I have been teaching since 2011.  I am an NC native, born and raised and have lived here in the triad area most of my life except for a few years where my family transplanted to Florida.  

I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 24 years and together we have two amazing daughters!  I’m the proud parent of a senior attending Carolina (go Tarheels!) and also have a fourth grader.  In addition to these two children it’s always been a running joke in my family that during the school year (and many times beyond) that I have an additional 120+ kids as my students are important to me and I spend a lot of time talking about and worrying about them outside of class.  

I am a huge nerd/geek/bookworm.  I love all things Disney, Star Wars, Godzilla, you name it.  I love history as well and have always been fascinated by Egypt and Egyptology.  

I am excited for this year and look forward to working with each one of you!
