Hello!

I am Rebecca McGinnis, the Curriculum Facilitator at the Middle College GTCC High Point! My role at MCHP will be to support the staff and students with academic, professional, and social emotional resources and strategies. This my 22nd year in education-I have taught in the elementary classroom, have been a CF in an elementary school, and have taught teacher education courses at Elon University. I love teaching and learning and I am excited to continue this journey at MCHP! I am a wife and proud mother to two children, Anna and Isaac. 

Educational Philosophy 

I believe that education is a combination of "hand, head, and heart".  I believe that educators should approach their content with "hands on learning" opportunities with guidance and passion. The very best educators are able to think and plan with their "head" (content expertise) but guide their students with a strong "heart". Great educators truly care about their students and provide engaging work to challenge them and instill a life long curiosity about the world. Great educators truly care about their students and will work hard to supports a child's "grows" and celebrate their "glows".
