Hello 

My Name is Rhasheeda Short, and I will be your EC Teacher here at GTCC Middle College High Point. I have been with Guilford County Schools for 15 years and EC teacher for the last five. I graduated from NC A&T with my undergraduate and master’s degree (Aggie Pride). I am the mother to one daughter that is my world named Erin. It is my goal as your teacher to ensure that you have the skills you need when you leave high school. It is also my expectation that students leave feeling prepared to tackle various assessments as you prepare for life after high school. I am looking forward to this school year. 

Educator Philosophy

My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating and safe educational environment where they can grow mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I believe that each child is an individual and as an educator, I will value and develop each child's strengths, interests, skills, and knowledge to extend their learning. Teaching is a process of learning from students, colleagues, and parents, and I aim to bring a positive attitude, open mind, and high expectations for my students into the classroom each day.
