Welcome to the EMC at GTCC Jamestown MAP Assessment Information Page. Below you will find information and resources to help answer any questions you may have about the MAP Assessment and how we use it and the data it provides to help support our students.
The MAP Assessment is an adaptive test which helps to identify your student's individual strengths and areas for growth. All 9th and 10th grade students in GCS take the MAP Assessment three times during each school year. For more information about the MAP Assessment, please click on the image below to access the Family Toolkit from NWEA, the creators of the assessment.
The EMC at GTCC Jamestown uses the data collected by the MAP Assessment to help drive instruction and build curriculum to best benefit our students. By clicking on the link below, you can access the MAP Assessment Informational Presentation which explains what the MAP Assessment is, how it works, why it's important, and how we use the data it gathers. This is the same presentation shared in our first MAP Assessment Parent Information Meeting.
