Welcome to Mr. Avent's page.

I have been a fan of Brooks since I subbed at the school in 2015. I taught middle language arts and social studies for 10 years. Prior to teaching, I worked in Museum and Historic site education even facilitating elementary school field trips. 

I earned my undergraduate degree in History at High Point University. I received a M.A. in History/Museum Education from UNC Greensboro. I love to travel throughout the United States and Europe.
