Ms. Mjelde holds a Bachelor's in Physics with a minor in Mathematics (Washington State University/Phillips-Universitaet Marburg), a Master's in Atmospheric Sciences (University of Washington), and a Certificate of Native Plant Studies (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill). She is originally from the Pacific Northwest, but has lived in Hawaii, Montana, Wyoming, Germany, and Uganda. She lives with two cats, one turtle, a bearded dragon, a large number of guppies and SO. MANY. SNAILS. She likes to draw and spends a lot of time in her garden. She is a Special Education teacher here for Guilford County Schools, and specializes in high school mathematics and science.
