Mrs. Carter has an extensive business, education, entreprenuerial, and public speaking background.  She spent over 20 years as a leader at a Fortune 200 corporation while teaching as an adjunct professor at local community colleges.  Mrs. Carter has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from East Carolina University, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Averett University and is currently pursuing her doctorate.  She is the founder of Establishing J.O.Y. LLC and has published multiple books. Mrs. Carter has several designations through Toastmasters International (a professional speaking organization).  Now, having retired from corporate America, she finds joy in helping her middle school students find their passion that will lead to successful careers and productive citizens.
