I am very excited to return to Northeast Middle School! This is my second year at NEMS, and I am expecting GREAT growth and proficiency from the math department this year. 

I have been married for 39 years to the same wonderful husband, whom I love more every day. We have 4 grown children and 2 precious granddaughters. I graduated in 1984 from Meredith College with a BS in mathematics, a minor in Chemical Physics, and my teaching certificate. I began teaching high school math and then, after a few years of teaching, stayed at home for a few years to nurture our children. I have taught every grade from first to twelfth, except for 6th grade, and have obtained 6 different teaching certifications. While teaching math at Eastern Guilford Middle School, I was honored to be the Middle School Teacher of the Year for the Guilford County School System. This distinction has allowed me to move from supporting students to supporting teachers.  My absolute favorite teaching experiences have been in middle school math-- I love working with the teachers and students in middle school!
