I am a passionate advocate for all students. I have always loved school and discovered my passion for pouring into our youth when I became a 7th grade ELA Teacher. Through various roles within GCS, I 've been humbled by the opportunity to serve and make a difference in education. I am super excited to join you all this year.
As a proud two-time alumna of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, I have been fortunate enough to make an impact across multiple subject areas, always striving to learn, adapt, and grow. My leadership approach centers on collaboration and strategic planning, with a focus on achieving school improvement goals and promoting high-quality instruction.
Outside of education, I share a love for cheerleading with my two daughters and find joy in crafting and creating. I firmly believe in the power of equity, as Caroline Belden so eloquently stated, "Equality is leaving the door open for anyone who has the means to approach it; equity is ensuring there is a pathway to that door for those who need it." I am committed to serving our community and making a positive impact on the lives of our students.
