About me:

I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a B.S in Genetics and Chemistry Minor. At UAB, I had the opprotunity to work on Neuro-developmental genetics research under the mentorship of Dr.HaoSheng Sun (Research Laboratory | Sun Laboratory | Birmingham ). While TAing for a genetics laboratory skills class, I discovered a passion for teaching and moved to NC to start my career in education while supporting my partner's PhD at UNC and my cat's PhD in mouse chasing.
