Meet our Administrators!
Mrs. Denise Francisco, Principal
It is my pleasure to serve as your principal at Oak Ridge Elementary. I joined the Oak Ridge Elementary community in January, 2011. Prior to joining the Oak Ridge staff I served as the principal at Greensboro College Middle College and Peeler Open School for the Performing Arts. I began my educational career in 1994 as a 4th grade teacher at Southwest Elementary School. I also worked as a 2nd and 4th grade teacher at Colfax Elementary. I am a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1994. In 2002, I was honored to be named a North Carolina Principal Fellow, and I graduated with my Master of School Administration in 2004 from UNC-Greensboro.
I am happily married and my husband and I have three amazing children, a daughter and two sons. We enjoy spending time at the beach, boating, and relaxing at our small place on Belews Lake. I look forward to another fabulous school year and look forward to working with you!
Mr. James Smith, Assistant Principal
Hello Oak Ridge Community! I am excited to be a part of a wonderful A+ school and to assist your children to be future leaders in their area of passion. My background in education started as an Elementary School Counselor for 7 years in Randolph County Schools. I was then awarded the Principal Fellows Scholarship and attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and completed my Masters of School Administration. This year begins my thirteenth year as an Assistant Principal with Guilford County Schools. I have two children of my own as my son is in eighth grade and my daughter is in the sixth grade. I enjoy spending time with family, playing and watching sports, and reading. I look forward to getting to know each of you and your children and if I can assist you in any way, please contact me by e-mail at email@example.com or by calling the school. I hope you have a great and successful year at Oak Ridge Elementary School.
