Mrs. Mindy Brame

Welcome to Second Grade! 

My name is Mindy Brame and this is my 23rd year at Oak Ridge Elementary. I taught 3rd Grade for 15 years and this will be my 8th year teaching 2nd Grade. 

I am from originally from Guilford County and attended northwest schools. I attended Greensboro College and UNCG. 

I have 3 grown sons, Justin, Christopher, and Chase who are all married and each have 2 children. So, I have 6 grandchildren ages 11 to 2 years of age, Carter, Piper, Aiden, Alex, Tucker, and Katherine. I absolutely love being a Grandmother! 

I enjoy being with my family, especially my 92 year old mother (who attended Oak Ridge Elementary) and spending quality time with my Grandchildren. I have a new puppy, a Goldendoodle named Westin. He is quite a handful! My hobbies are Space, Stars, and I am a Rock Hound. I love being outdoors and I collect rocks, bugs, and other interesting things I find in nature. 

Teaching is not only a career for me, but it is also my hobby! I am an avid seeker of Best Practices and Strategies. I am always eager to get to know each child in my class and build rapport to encourage children to feel they are in a safe learning environment, free from judgement and criticism. I am fascinated to discover how children learn best and work hard throughout the year to grow each individual child as much as possible. Your child's success and happiness is my utmost goal!
