Dr. Rodney L. Boone

     I am honored to serve as the principal for The Early/Middle College at GTCC-Greensboro since 2011.  This educational institution stands proudly among the numerous other Early/Middle Colleges and Academies in Guilford County Schools, the state, and the nation.  My previous work experience is, but not limited to, serving as the founding principal of The Academy at Lincoln (six years); Assistant Principal, Northwest High School (8 months); Math Teacher, Southeast High School (1 year); Math Teacher, Northeast Middle School (7 years); and Math Instructor, Guilford Technical Community College (1 year).

     Since I believe education is a life-long endeavor, I have obtained a Doctorate in Education, Specialist in Education degree and Master of School Administration (University of North Carolina at Greensboro) and a Bachelor of Science, Secondary Education (North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University).

      As a child, I learned from personal experience how influential and important adults are in shaping the lives of youth. Many people have been a part of my development and I am honored to be afforded the opportunity to work directly and indirectly with who are WORLD CHANGERS – our students.  I believe that the future can and will be changed for the good based upon what students are offered and what they embrace to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
