Neighborhood Leadership Program
Jones ES sits in the middle of the historic community of Warnersville. Warnersville was the first organized African American community in Greensboro. Yardley Warner bought the land to sell to former slaves so that they could own their own homes. This led to a bustling community of African American owned businesses, schools, and churches. The thriving community produced religious, educational and community leaders we can all be proud of. Jones ES produced leaders in the past and will produce leaders in the future.
