Hey there! My name is Mr. Kinney and I am happy to be your teacher for the 2022-2023 school year!

A little about me...

I grew up in a small town just north of Winston-Salem, NC, so I'm kind of local.  I graduated from Western Carolina University (WCU) (Go Catamounts!) in December 2003 with a B.S in Social Sciences Secondary Education. Since then, I have acquired add-on licensures in middle grades (6-8) Social Studies and Exceptional Children general curriculum (K-12). I began teaching in 2004 at the high school that I graduated from. I began teaching in Guilford County in 2013, and at Northern High in 2014, making this my 10th year teaching in the district, and 9th year at Northern High.
