• I am a recent graduate from UNC-Greensboro with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and a minor in Mathematics. I completed internships in 1st grade and 5th grade classrooms while being a student in the School of Education at UNCG my junior and senior year of college. I completed my student teaching in 3rd grade classrooms in April 2017 at McLeansville Elementary. Upon completion of my student teaching, I became a 5th grade teacher at McLeansville Elementary School in an all-male classroom.

My hometown is in Lexington, North Carolina, where I have lived on a farm my entire life and I love animals almost as much as I love to teach! I am from the small town within Lexington known as Tyro. I attended Reeds Elementary School, Tyro Middle School, and West Davidson High School before moving to Greensboro to attend college. I played a variety of sports growing up which included volleyball, cheerleading, and basketball. I enjoy going to the beach, lake, and mountains, along with spending time with my family and best friends. I recently picked up a new hobby, kayaking. My favorite past time is to work on my farm. Overall, I enjoy being adventurous and strive to incorporate adventure into the learning atmosphere of the classroom.
I have had experience in 1st grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and 7th grade classrooms from high school and college internships. Also, I have tutored almost every age group from elementary school to college in mathematics...yes, math is my favorite subject!

I love to teach and continue to learn with the students. It is my goal to inspire all students to strive to be the best they can be throughout their education! My classroom will have an inviting, interactive, and positive environment for learning, embracing diversity, and building friendships. I am thrilled for all of the events that will take place throughout the upcoming school year!
