Hello!

This is my 23rd year as a language arts teacher at Mendenhall!  I have high expectations for your student this year as we work to be prepared for high school. Your support at home is greatly appreciated!

I try to update grades in PowerSchool every week, and graded papers are given back to students on Thursdays. The best way to reach me is email - masterm@gcsnc.com.

I enthusiastically recommend that you join your child's Language Arts course on Canvas as an observer so you have access to all assignments, and you can see exactly what we're working on in class and what your child is supposed to be doing. You can also check for assignment completion in Canvas, but the grade average in Canvas will NOT be correct since some assignments are outside of Canvas and will only be recorded in PowerSchool. Your child's average on PowerSchool is accurate!
