Welcome to 7^th grade Language Arts! I’m Jennifer Fannin and I have been a part of this wonderful Mendenhall family for 8 years. I am the proud mom of two boys (or I should say two young men) both of whom attended Mendenhall. My oldest, Jack, is a student at UNCG majoring in Biology and my youngest, Nick is a senior at Page High School! It is going to be a busy year!I have taught 6^th and 7^th grade ELA and must say I really enjoy 7^th grade. 7^th grade is such a year of growth for students. Students will find they have greater independence but learn this requires more personal responsibility. It is always so awesome to see their maturity increase greatly throughout this year.

This year in ELA, we will continue to improve comprehension and build our vocabulary. We will focus on analyzing and interpreting information which we use to form ideas and express them through formal writing. In other words, students will find and develop their voice!
