Dr. Erik Naglee

Dr. Erik Naglee is a seasoned educator currently serving as the principal at Walter Hines Page High School. With a career spanning over 20 years in education, Dr. Naglee brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role. He is proud that his entire educational career has been spent in Guilford County Schools. Before leading Page High for the last six years, he spent two years as a middle school principal at Northwest Middle School and four years as an elementary principal at Pearce Elementary, where he helped transform the school into the highest-performing elementary school in the district.

Dr. Naglee's exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence have been recognized through various accolades, including the Guilford County Schools Principal of the Year and the Piedmont Triad Region Principal of the Year. He was also honored as one of the eight finalists for the prestigious North Carolina Principal of the Year award.

Before transitioning into school-based administration, Dr. Naglee served as the Title I Director for Guilford County Schools, overseeing approximately $30 million dollars annually in federal funds and providing services to 55 Title I eligible schools. His journey in education began as a classroom teacher, where he taught both 3rd and 5th-grade students at Morehead Elementary in Greensboro.

Dr. Naglee holds degrees from Greensboro College, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Walden University, reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth. He remains deeply passionate about serving students across all grade levels and is dedicated to ensuring their success and well-being as they move on to college, a career, or the military after walking the halls and graduating from Page High.
