    Welcome to Biology! It is a fascinating subject that should help you understand the how living things function and behave. We will focus on the many interconnections and relationships that exist in nature.

    My name is Amy Hamilton and this is my 30th year teaching biology. I have been at NWHS for 22 years. I previously taught at Ragsdale High School (Guilford County) and J.H. Rose High School (Pitt County). I graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S. and M.Ed. in Science Education with a concentration in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Geology. I was born in Burlington, NC and graduated from NWHS in 1986 (The school has gone through lots of changes since the 80’s). I have a son that is currently finishing up college.
