Welcome to the Wonderful World of AIG where we approach challenge with positive attitudes and "I Can" spirits! 

I teach units to the children that have been created especially for them and that correlate with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. By extending the curriculum horizontally and vertically,  I am able to make sure that all the children are getting exactly what they need to grow academically. Some of the teaching techniques/strategies I use with our very special children include Socratic Seminars, guided discovery (an inductive approach), student self-assessments (pre- and post- learning), telescoping (covering the same amount of material in less time because of various elements such as the need for less repetition), hypothetical reasoning, interdisciplinary studies, independence, choice, sophistication of products, along with many, many more. Though I only have your children a small portion of their day, I am always available to them for help or support.
