I’m very excited to be part of the Jefferson family and be your child’s 3^rd grade teacher!

            This school year will be my 13^th year in the classroom.  I started teaching in Florida, and taught there for 2 years, before coming to North Carolina in the fall of 2008.  I have taught kindergarten, first, second and third grade.

            I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with minors in both early childhood education and mathematics.

            I was born and raised in Wisconsin, where most of my family still lives.  Being from Wisconsin, I am a loyal Badgers fan, both football and basketball (sorry Carolina, Duke and State fans!).

            When I’m not at school, I enjoy reading, shopping, doing crafty/DIY projects found on Pinterest and being outdoors (except in the winter!). I also enjoy spending time with family, friends and my 2 border collies.

            I look forward to getting to know your child, as well as your family, and continuing this educational journey.
