• My name is Winnona Borawski Roshan. I am entering my tenth year of teaching! I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with both my Bachelor of Music and Master of Music Degrees. I live in Greensboro with my wonderful husband, Arash Roshan and our daughter Leily Nova. I love music- to sing, to play instruments, to create, and to perform! I live and breathe music everyday. Reading, working out, knitting, and crocheting are some of my favorite things to do. I love animals and grew up with many pets but, as Arash is allergic to most, we do not have any of our own. I especially love cats! I am looking forward to the year! Welcome back Eagles!!!!! My school email address is roshanw@gcsnc.com. Please feel free to contact me at anytime.

  • Piano Lab - Keys of Inspiration

Posted by Winnona Roshan on 11/14/2018 9:44:00 AM

    Dear Jefferson Family,

We have been honored this year with the wonderful Keys of Inspiration Grant from the Lang Lang International Music Foundation. This grant, as you probably already know, has provided us with a classroom set of high quality pianos, benches, headphones, and curriculum! The three year grant program initiative allows students the ability to have class piano twice a week during the school day! By year three grades 2nd-5th grade students will be receiving both general music and piano lab instruction! This program will now become a staple opportunity for our Jefferson students for years to come!

I will try to post updates from time to time on this blog page.

    Musically Yours,

    Winnona Roshan

    General Music and Piano Specialist

    Jefferson Elementary

  • Our first "Teach a Parent" Night in the piano lab was a huge success! Thank you to all the families that came out to listen and learn from their second or third grade children. We will have another one in the future!
