Welcome to third grade! I am Amanda Hagen; math and science teacher. This is my fourth year as an Irving Park Pirate and my 11th year as a teacher. I grew up in Ohio, but have called NC my home now for 10 years. I am a proud mother of two: my daughter is a first grader here at IPE and my son attends private preschool. My spare time is spent with these two on the soccer and softball fields.  You will also find us under the Friday night lights cheering on the Thomasville Bulldogs, as my husband is a football coach and math teacher there.

In our classroom we will have a blast learning about multiplication, fractions, measurement and basic operational word problems. We will also explore land and water features, the human body, plants, our solar system, and many other fun science topics.

Our classroom is a family! We work as a team and learn from each other every day. Again, welcome to third grade, where the fun and learning never stops!
