Hi!  My name is Mrs. Coffey and I am thrilled to be teaching 3rd grade at Irving Park Elementary! I look forward to getting to know the students and parents during this 2018-2019 school year, and I’m so excited for all the learning, fun and exploring we will share!

A little bit about me: I grew up in Greensboro and attended Grimsley High School. I received my Elementary Education degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2015. Some of you may know me as Ms. Smith, but I got married this summer so my new name is Mrs. Coffey ☺. I’m very excited to be teaching for my fourth year in the public school system!

This year we will prepare for the EOG in Reading and Mathematics.  I have many enriching and inquiry-based learning activities planned to allow each student to thrive and be prepared for third grade and beyond! Please feel free to reach out to me at any point during the school year with any questions or concerns.
