Health Education
Health education is the study of wellness as it relates to environmental and personal being and living a healthy well-balanced life. In my class I will provide ways to plan and maintain a healthy lifestyle. We cannot change anything about ourselves if we have no knowledge of how to do so. Students will learn a variety of lessons that are lifelong beneficial, fun, and interesting. Most often overlooked, health education can be a rigorous subject. Students may feel overwhelmed at times, therefore, I encourage students to review notes daily to ensure academic success. (please refer to syllabus for unit topics)
Physical Education
PE class is a great way for students to bring up their grade is they are falling behind in health class. Students will conducts self-assessments, create exercise and dietary plans, learn and play a variety of sports and activities, and most of all have fun. Students are required to dress out in specified attire (refer to brochure) for every gym class. Students will be issued a locker and a lock combination. All students are responsible for their personal belongings and lock combination. Students must use issued lock combinations to ensure security of personal belongings. (please refer to syllabus for unit topics)
If you would like to volunteer to assist with sports and/or activities, please feel free to contact me at (336)294-7325 ext. 1645. I look forward to an awesome year!!
